The Easiest Way to Hit Great Irons When it's Windy
Whenever it's Open Championship week...
And especially when it's held at St. Andrews like it is this year...
You probably hear tons of advice on playing iron shots in the wind.
Do any of these sound familiar?:
- Choke down
- Swing slower
- Widen your stance
- Narrow your stance
- Lean the shaft to de-loft the club
- Move the ball back in your stance
This advice is not necessarily wrong...
But the EASIEST way I've found for MOST people to play controlled iron shots in the wind is simply to modify the rhythm and size of their swing.
