Tour Striker Pitching Wedge 5-Day Protocol

The Tour Striker Pitching Wedge is designed to help you practice harder than you play. Hit beautiful pitch shots. Hit your pitches with pin seeking accuracy and plenty of spin to get your ball to checkup and stop right next to the hole. You'll learn to deliver the "sweet spot" of the club to the golf ball by impacting with a descending motion and forward shaft lean that all great ball strikers possess.

Intro: Pitching Wedge

Martin introduces the pin seeking spinning strikes that we're working towards with the Tour Striker Pitching Wedge.

Day 1: Pelvis Movement

Opening up the pelvis in your stance helps naturally relocate the hands into a forward shaft lean. Martin walks you through getting the correct feeling in this protocol.

Homework: 30 Pelvis Movements

Day 2: Arms and Hips Movement

Every great wedge strike begins with a functional back swing. Martin describes the correct feeling of the whip, the weight of the club stressing the hands and how the pivot delivers a solid impact position.

Homework: 30 Shots into an Abbreviated Finish

Day 3: Focus on Finish

You can dictate how much loft you get with the golf ball. Martin leads you through this protocol to give you understanding of follow through and how it effects your trajectory in golf.

Homework: 30 Shots, being mindful of follow through

Day 4: Shoulder Movements

Martin has you focus on your shoulder movements to illustrate the importance of the location of your shoulders throughout your swing to get a good solid strike.

Homework: 30 Full Swings with Focus on Shoulders

Day 5: Back Spin Shots

You have to have crisp swing dynamics in place to hit a good shot with back spin. A sharp hip turn is key to getting a solid spinning pitch shot.
