Flop Shots

The pro’s make flop shots look effortless, but this play can be more intimidating for recreational golfers. A successful flop shot is a ball that’s hit high and lands softly.

When using your PlaneMate to practice the flop shot, rotate your club connector 45 degrees so it stays parallel to your target line.  This helps you keep an open club face.  Set up so that your legs are a little wider than hip distance apart and the ball is forward in your stance. As you swing, you should feel tension in the band starting in the backswing, all the way through to finish.
