Take a Wider Backswing for Better Ball Striking

Staying wide in your backswing is key to becoming a better ball striker.

Most golfers remain too idle, not rotating in their backswing. The result is they end up pulling their trail elbow straight back, the same motion as starting a lawn mower, instead of getting wide.

Deflate your Smart Ball and place it between your trail arm and pec. Hold it there without dropping it throughout your entire swing. Focus on maintaining your width in the backswing to produce a feeling of having your arms in front of you instead of behind. If you let your trail arm get behind you, the Smart Ball will fall out.

Be mindful of these feels to become more connected in your takeaway and improve your ball striking.
