I am a senior golfer that uses hybrids and metal woods through my 7 iron and incorporated a chopped down hybrid into the Swing Trainer and Smart Ball. It really helps with expediting Visual and Swing Circle awareness without using a full-length club indoors. I lost my swing at the beginning of the year so I was searching for something to help me get back to the basics and build a consistent swing. The planemate did just that, every time I have a buddy over I tell them to give it a try. I never hit the practice area without it.
The Planemate really helps lock in the correct “feels” you go through from P1 through P10. It really comes together when paired with the ReciPe videos. The videos used to understand the bands are wonderful to use the Planemate and translate onto the range/course, but to really get the finer details the ReciPe is a must.
This is the best training aid I have ever used from all my years of golf. It provides immediate feedback if you do not stay in form. Excellent for building muscle memory for a consistent swing. Since using this training aid over the past two months my index dropped from 11.3 to 8.9.
What a great tool and the bonus, the videos that come with it are a game changer. It’s one thing to have a training aid but without knowing how to use it, the value is diminished. Once you purchase the planemate you’ll get access to videos from your order details. I had to email support because it wasn’t clear what order to progress through the videos. They were very responsive and gave me guidance including access to some advanced videos that aren’t shown in my order. The key to using this tool is to go through the 7 day protocol with each band before going to the advanced videos. Every person is different in where their swing is and now this tool can be used to better it. For me, I never had lessons and was just like most golfers coming over the top. Taking my time using this (and I’m still working through it) I’ve already seen a difference in my game. Most notable is my chipping and irons. I’m still in a state of transition but I’m getting more and more comfortable working to get my hands in front of the ball at impact. My main issue is confidence I can translate what I’m learning to the course. Anyway, back to planemate, for progression, I would also point out that I feel it’s also easy to over focus on each day. For the first time through the 7 day protocol with the short band, I added what I learned from the previous day each day so my practice got progressively longer. That worked for me to really ingrain the muscle memory so I could keep momentum and not get hung up on one protocol. Again everyone is different so do what works for you. I’ve also used these routines at the driving range and course to get warmed up which has been helpful to remember what I learned. Overall I think this is well made and definitely worth the money. I believe it’s a great tool for any level of golfer but a must for someone like myself. I don’t think you can go wrong and will be glad you purchased it.

The Planemate is an incredible aid. 2 weeks of pretty much daily practice has taken my swing from an over the top, 9 degree out to in path, to being on plane and much more neutral club path, to maybe slightly in to out. The first few sessions were hard work. Such a dramatic change in path meant my wrists were way out of sync and I hit a bucket of shanks, so be prepared to push through some growing pains. A week later and I'm striking it more consistently than ever. A happy side-effect is that I'm using body tilt better than I used to and keeping my head in a better position.
I have been on a journey with tour striker for 10+ years. I started playing or at least trying to play golf when I was 50, It is 12 years on now and my handicap has run between 11 and 32. 32 is what I first got and 11 was my best about 4 years later. I am no longer 11 but always working on how to get back there. I now have a practice simulation room located in my basement and use tour striker training aids. I started off with the 7 iron and the wedge and the toolbox, then the educator, I think then the smart ball, impact strap, plain station, the impact bag, swing click, and now the plane mate 2. I use all of the above with my older revolution golf videos and recently purchased the recipe for golf. Still going through initial protocols. I have some specific swing issues I need to address and change and I believe PlaneMate will help with my specific issues. Even in these preliminary protocols, I am beginning to feel the turning my core, beginning to finish on my lead side, and hopefully begin to eliminate a steep off plane hand and arm slap at the ball that has begun to dominate my motion. What the plane mate does is exactly what I had hoped. I am rotating more and getting the club to exit more left. I did have to warranty out the shaft connector within the first month. It began to crack which is a little concerning. But the warranty piece came super quick

I think it's a great training aid. My only suggestion would be that it come with a set of protocols like the PlaneMate and the Impact Strap. As it is, you have to scour YouTube for instructional materials. It'd be nice if they were all in one place under a single web link.
I have notice an improvement in my swing since I started training with it. I am gaining width in my swing and more consistent ball contact.

No instructions on how to attach to club. Then the clamp piece popped off (twice). Second time I lost the clamp, so it no longer works. The Plane Mate was far and away better including the video instructions.
